Well Done Billy Graham, in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Blessings!

I wanted to take a moment to honor and reflect on the memory of Billy Graham. Even though I never personally knew the man, I know that he was a good man of God. He was a man after the heart of God. I know that he honored the Lord in word, deed, and truth. ~”Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”~1 John 3:18, ESV~

I know that Graham was not just a sayer of the Word of God and what it states. He was not just a doer of the Word of God and what is says. He was both a sayer and a doer of the Word of God. He read and practiced the Word of God throughout his life daily.

This was because Graham loved God: plain and simple. Billy Graham loved Father God so much that he was willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus as he gave his whole heart, as an evangelist, to the world so that they would know Jesus. He did this as he spread the Word of God worldwide: to all corners of the world, in the simplest way possible.

Billy Graham loved Father God so much that he was willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus as he gave his whole heart, as an evangelist, to the world so that they would know Jesus.

Graham wanted the nations to come into Jesus: to enter into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. ~”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”~John 3:16, NIV~

Graham gave his whole heart for the world to know Jesus as he spread the Word of God worldwide. Graham wanted every soul he knew to know Jesus Christ personally so that they could enter the floodgates of heaven and ultimately, the presence of God: eternally. Not just physically after the first life, but spiritually too. Graham wanted every life to be saved. Period.

Graham had the desires of Jesus stamped on his heart. God desired Graham to know Jesus. Therefore, Graham wanted the world to follow Jesus. And that was exactly what Graham did.

Graham followed the words of Jesus stated from the Gospel of Matthew 28:18-20:

~”And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”~Matthew 28:18-20, ESV~

Graham went out into the world. Graham made disciples of the world and followers of Jesus Christ. Graham baptized many, many souls. Graham followed this Great Commission and carried it out wholeheartedly until the end of his life!

I can only imagine Father God having told his son, Graham, now that he has finished life’s course and entered into His presence, “Well done good and faithful servant!” ~”His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”~Matthew 25:23, ESV~

I can only imagine Father God having told his son, Graham, now that he has finished life’s course and entered into His presence, “Well done good and faithful servant!”

Graham did it! He is walking side by side with Jesus: forever, eternally, and always. He is forever worshipping Father God as His Holy Spirit continues the work that Father God sent Him to do as he spreads the Great Commission to every corner of the world.

Now that I’ve summarized Graham’s life, in a nutshell, I want to take this moment and ask this city to stop and take a moment to honor the life of Billy Graham. If you want to stop and pray (as I did), then do it. If you want to shed tears of joy, do that too. If you want to journal out your thoughts on how the life of Billy Graham divinely inspired and impacted your life, then do that as well. Do whatever the Holy Spirit of God is telling you to do, but please honor the life of Billy Graham. He was not just a good son of God. He was a good and faithful servant who fulfilled the will of His Heavenly Father on earth physically. Now, he can enjoy the presence of His Heavenly Father: always and forevermore, amen!
