The Case for Christ

The movie begins with Lee Strobel winning an award at the Chicago Tribune and then he and his family go out for dinner. At the end of the meal his daughter is chocking on some food. A woman comes over puts the girl over her lap and slaps the girls back until she coughs up what is lodged in her throat. Lee and his wife, Leslie, then find out that the woman is a nurse. She tells them that they had chosen a different restaurant to go to for dinner but felt called to come to where the Strobels were. She felt that God had guided her to be there to save the little girl.

Leslie and the nurse become friends as Leslie asks more about God and faith. She then begins to grow in her faith and wants to share it with Lee. He however doesn’t believe in God and becomes very upset with Leslie.

Leslie will not give up her new found faith and continues to go to church.

Lee then uses his journalism and legal training to try to prove that there is no God. However with all that he has learned he can’t disprove what the Christians have believed in for thousands of years. He then turns his life over to God and has written over a dozen books including books for children.
