Hungry Dogs Got to Eat

Once again, the Philadelphia Eagles found themselves playing the underdog role, in a home playoff game. This is a position the Eagles really must love, because once again they found a way to defy the odds, and prove their doubters wrong. The Eagles smoked the Minnesota Vikings in a 38-7 blowout victory.

It was not looking good for the Eagles, during the first couple minutes of the first quarter.

The Vikings scored their first touchdown on a beautiful 25-yard touchdown throw from quarter back Case Keenum, to tight end Kyle Rudolph.

However, after that first touchdown the Eagles defense answered the bell and shutout the Vikings offense for the rest of the game.

Romans 5:3 says,” Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;” The Eagles have persevered through a lot of injuries this year and are looking to earn their first super bowl title.

The Eagles defense really changed the momentum of the game, when they forced an interception from Keenum, which was returned for a touchdown by Eagles cornerback Patrick Robinson. That tied the game at 7.

After tying the game, the Eagles did not look back, Nick Foles really led the Eagles to a statement victory against the best defense in the NFL.

Foles was throwing all over the Vikings defense, he completed 26 out of 33 passes, for 352 yards, and threw three touchdown passes.

This was Foles best game by far, the coaching staff really called plays that showed off the talents of Foles.

Most people, believed that the Eagles would be done without quarterback Carson Wentz. However, with his performance last night, Foles proved that he can still be a good quarterback in this league.

Doug Pederson has done an excellent job of coaching during this playoff run, he has called all the right plays to take advantage of the defenses he has played. Pederson has this team believing that they can beat anybody, and if he can get this kind of effort out of his team in two weeks. The Patriots may have something to be concerned about.

Now Pederson has two weeks to prepare for the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl rematch. The Eagles are already 5.5-point underdogs.

The Eagles are being doubted again, and that seems to be the way the team wants it. New England will face a dangerous and hungry team in Minnesota in Super Bowl 52, on Sunday, February 4th, 2018 at 6:30 pm EST.
