Churches in China Help Connect Single Christians

Young people in China are feeling the pressure of tying the knot. During the holidays, family members are expected to be notorious at bringing up the issue of marriage and having kids to their single relatives.

To help single people find true love, church leaders came up with a unique way of connecting Christians in their communities.

According to Fortune, single people in China often resort to hiring a fake boyfriend/girlfriend just to appease the family’s relentless questions. Reminders of the need to have a spouse and securing the family’s bloodline could push a person to lie just to pacify the family.

To help single people find true love, church leaders came up with a unique way of connecting Christians in their communities.

“Our church is like a family. We want to help them find the right ones who are also part of our Christian network,” said Han.

Han Yan, a church leader of An Hua, said they organized an event where single people can meet. The event was held in a park in Beijing where solo Christians can have fun and potentially meet their partner in life.

“Our church is like a family. We want to help them find the right ones who are also part of our Christian network,” said Han.

The singles enjoyed the Irish dancing and group games which the church prepared for them. Similar events have been organized in Beijing since 2012.

Church leaders reminded single Christians to be patient and remain steadfast to the values they uphold while waiting for their perfect partner.

They stressed that God must always remain at the center of their relationship. Joining church activities can give them a chance of finding a partner who matches his/her beliefs and principles.
